The Ocarina is a real instrument, it's not just in the Zelda game.

Thus, this song is an original, bearing no relation to Zelda. However I made it with intentions of it being capatible in an RPG like game.

anyway you done with goemon? Because it would be cool to see more castlemusic from his great adventure, like the turtle castle, demon place... underworld...

Sorry for late response, I been in school but I'm home for the Holidays!

Ahh, no my friend, haven't even started on goemon. But hey now that I'm on break I got plenty of time to whip up a surprise for you.

I got a new music website, fill free to contact me about that. Right now I'm working with a cruddy server but it's free so what can you expect?

The first time in a long time i go to newgrounds..

Not your best i will admit, but still good. AS for me, my lab broke and that had my song making stuff, and im to damn lazy to dl them again. So no songs for awhile. Plus i no longer go to newgrounds anymore. Rythim_man was a huge part of it lol, and he can't go here.
Don't worry tho, ill check back every once in awhile to see if you made any new songs.

Dude, edo castle... Still is one of my favorite castles.
Ahhhh the good ol' days... Goemon... Great platformer... Do more! Like, Impact, or The boss theme. SO many possibilities! Hmm, im debating which game had better castle themes, Mystical ninja, or Great adventure. I think im leaning towards great adventure. Ahhh both are great games.... and im rambling. SOrry, havnt reviewed in awhile. Please R-man, make more songs!

Sorry for not replying until so long. It's not that I left NG but I have moved locations. I have to connect to another mainfraim computer through something called an "ethernet". I dunno, but the school blocks off newgrounds.com so I haven't been able to come here. How am I replying now? Well, heheh, it seems the school doesn't block rythim-man.newgrounds.com yet hahah. Here I have been working on music and found people to collab with me but the new instruments I'm using to make music seem to not work as I expected (for some reason my stereo comes out mono when I audacitize it to make it louder). Also in a collab it takes more time and effort to make something. By time I do come out with a new song, the school will have found some way to block rythim-man.newgrounds.com too. I better enjoy this time while I can...

Before I moved and left my game system...I did record the music to a boss battle from Mystical Ninjas. Maybe I can find the time to do that ;)

I'm not done, I just took a summer break :p . Going to school now too, so I might have some compositions as projects, I don't know if that will be my homework or not, but I certainly hope so.

I might take a break from NG to get situated.

I'm working with Paul, so you'l probably see more Sonic. If I do kirby, it will probably be from dream land or crystal shards game because I ran out of superstar songs to mix. (I just realized that I probably can't bring my game with me to school lol). I hope to do that castle theme that I intended to do from the beggining.

I want to get a song in before school starts so hopefully you'll see just one more tune in less than 3 days.

Dude, great game. Its my favorite platformer on the 64. Ahhh brings back memories. Still, the castle themes are the best

I intended to to make one of the castle themes, so I ran the game and on my way to one of the castles Iheard this song and just had to do it. I may do a castle theme later. Those were hot, and would be pretty nice boss Back Ground music, or atleast good final stage music.

OMG WOOT!

You finally did it! The one ONE song i was looking for!!!!!1111one. Such great music. Only problem is the usual chorus. I couldn't really hear it until the end. I dunno if you purposely did that or not. Just a suggestion, but make it a wee bit louder. But other than that YAY! Maybe we'll be seeing a great cave offensive? Or do i still need to live on a false hope?

The chorus is playing the whole way through, but I put the amplitude to the lowest I could possibly make it for the lead voice. If you listen very very very carefully, you can hear a choral tenor "ahhh" sound on some of the long held notes. I did this because at first I was going to have someone really singing to it, but after it was finished, I felt it didn't need singing. I also did that as a way of making it easier to hear the harmony and chord progression. It took a while to write the guitar part out, then I listened to it only to find out it was all wrong and I had to start it over. I kept the choral voice low though because I like to hold back the beggining of a song so I have room to add more stuff later and make the song longer. I really hate music that ends too quickly.

That's also why it is repetitive, when these were just instrumentals to a voice, I could repeat all I wanted because the voice would be singing different words.

Oh yes, I purposely made the melody softer than the accompaninment, to make it sound different and also to make it sound more relaxing and >what's the word I'm looking for, passive?<

And Dunnanunna, I really am running out of Kirby music to mix, atleast good ones tha I like well enough to mix well. I have one more, and it's not going so well so I may never post it, but I'll give it to you if it turns out to be a failure.
