OOO a faster version

The same song though. Oh well its kirby! YAY KIRBY. I am hoping to still see more songs out of you!

Rythim-Man responds:

Yea sorry to dissapoint ya, it's the same song but faster. I also changed the sounds a bit too and I put more melody and an extra part in. I also added another channel. But if you've heard the first already, then this one won't sound much better.

I'm hoping to still see more reviews from you!

Hmm if i recall correctly...

This would be level 2! WOOT! You are back in business. Anyway tyhis brings back memories. This minigame was so easy... lol. Beating deedeedee... anyway gj man.
+Catch phrase goes here+
oh wait i know!
Your #1 fan
~dunnanunna~

Rythim-Man responds:

Yes, it was incredibly short and easy. I played it cuz I was bored once and heard the song and said "I oughta remix this". So I did lol.

Okedokie, R_M is back!

Its been awhile

Hello! Man i havnt reviewed your songs in awhile..... Anyway great song. Hell, this doesn't need to stop t menues, its good enough to be like, an anticipating moment in a vg. Great job. You havnt stopped making songs have you?

TheAmateurAnimator responds:

I haven't stopped making songs, I've just been feeling really, really lazy.

lol, i really am good

I AM your inspiration lol. Glad you finally submitted it. Its funny, its one of the greatest sonic adventure 2 battle songs of all time (next to green forest or w/e the name). Yet this Sonic song has the usual "Rythim_man flare" to it. All your songs have this certain "thing" to it,("thing" because i don't know what else to call it) that always seem upbeat. You can take the most upbeat song, and make it even more upbeat. You're songs are way to underated. I can see almost all of these being at least platinum. I just wish you would make more. Its your decision though. Only problem is ill be out of a job... oh well. I guess ill try and make something decent. Of course, you'll fine tune it =)
Once again, great song. Sonic is only second to kirby. But still, great song. 5/5

Rythim-Man responds:

It could be that they're made with a sequencer and that I use a specific Rhythm in all of the songs, but it's hidden and hard to tell. It comes out as a "thing". I didn't really like it too much, but i figured I may as well. Got nothin' better to do.

Wonderful

Jenna's battle theme is one of the best pieces of music in goldensun2. Did you do this all from ear? Because this was amazing. My music sucks compared to yours

HEY!

Im appalled. You never told me you finished this.... Then again you did send it to me.... and then again you submitted it today... oops. Well iv given up on the great cave offensive. Decided its way beyond me. Tell me if this is illegal. Getting a videogame midi, putting it on anvil studio. Taking only the true notes(the notes everyone like to hear) and reputting them back on anvil studio... Im to lazy to listen to a song over and over and over, then putting the notes on the computer. Id rather just play the game lol. Anyway, im glad you are still putting up music. I was worried for awhile. Then again, you will sen me the songs, regardless if you put them on newgrounds or not. At least you better. I like the... clarinette solo? that the instrument? Reminds me of how i wish i could play when i did play clarinette lol. 5/5

Rythim-Man responds:

I think if you submit illegal work on Newgrounds you're more likely to get away with it because if it was stolen it would be flagged and we would know it's not yours easily. Still, you're responsibile for what you submit, so if the law did decide to come in and handle you...

I don't use people's MIDI because I much rather do it all myself. It's easier to add stuff and make it original that way, plus I want people to listen to me when I submit, not someone else. If you were to use the MIDI, as long as you change it enough so that it doesn't look at all like the original remix. For instance the melody would be the same anyway, so you could probably use someone elses melody in a remix. Harmony is the same sometimes but you might want to use your own. Changing the tempo and key also helps. Actually, you can just show me your remix and the original and I can tell you if they are too in-common.

Even if you're using a sample from someone elses work, it's still an art to know how to utilize and arrange the samples. I could appreciate work even if it was sound clips of other people's work. It's not my style though, and even if I tried it wouldn't work out well (I tried that in suspicious ack-tivity).

It depends. Not if you're talking about where the strings are playing that's an...erm oboe or english horn, I know it's a wind instrument but I have to look at the score to remember it. But yea that's a clarinet solo when the piano is playing, and as odd as it sounds that is where I put alot of effort. As a solo, the melody has to be catchy, yet simple, yet interesting. Then the harmony from the trombone has to make you smile. I actually tried different harmonies to see which sounded best. Normally I used music theory to know what sounds good and leave it at that, but I tried my hardest to make this song perfect.

So great.

No doubt about it. This is amazing. It could be compared to defcon zero or the final day. Im serious. I wish i could make music even half as good as this. I really envy you man. Oh well, you do make awesome music...and im just a noob at it....

Para-Noid responds:

I dont think this could even near compared with ParagonX9

P_P

Man

with a song this good, i could see it as one of the portal songs. Wow. And i always thought classical was boring (ironic since my first piece was classical) Dunno if you stopped making music, but please make more. By the way... what program do you use?

MaestroSorrow responds:

I personally use Fruity Studio's 5 (if you're still around to read this, sorry for delayed response ;))

However the sounds you are hearing have little to do with the program itself, send me an email if you'd like, and i'll explain it all to you.

Lol wow way to go r_man

This is a really cool song.... Man. Sonic 2... such a great game... you should remix metropolis zone (i think thats in sonic2...) Oh and cause im a noob at audio... how do you remake/remix videogame songs?

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Its pretty easy . . . you have to i guess "meditate" with the song, think of ways to make it sound cooler, the Stetich style thinks of ways to interest and go off road with the riff, and make it. Some songs like metropolis zone will be hard to remake, but I can do it for ya. Ill do it when Im not so busy filing other requests. :D

Scary indeed...

But i agree with the last reviwer... it is not fitting for a videogame. But music is music. I guess i could see this in a resident evil game.... Oh and dont let weaponmasterdan get to you. Lets look at his music, OH WAIT, HE DOESNT HAVE ANY! I really like the techno/trancy beat in the middle of the song

olivergreen responds:

I also agree, its too complicated for a video game. I like the beat in the middle too! ;)
